As Chief Executive Officer, Rafe Sanson is responsible for leading the strategic direction of The CSI Companies. Prior to joining CSI in 2005, Sanson served as Corporate Controller for Fidelity Information Services, a financial services technology and outsourcing company ranked in the Fortune 500. In 2011, he joined CSI as Chief Financial Officer.
As Chief Financial Officer, Sanson helped grow CSI’s $40M revenue to over $79M in 2010. He was instrumental in CSI’s sale to Recruit Holdings, a leading global HR service provider and parent company of Indeed and Glassdoor. He was appointed as Chief Executive Officer of The CSI Companies in 2011. Under his leadership, CSI exceeded $240M in revenue from 2016 – 2018 and achieved best-in-class levels of profitability and productivity.
Sanson, a CPA, is a native of New Orleans and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Louisiana State University.
As Chief Operating Officer, Chris Flakus is responsible for leading all operations of The CSI Companies. Chris brings more than 25 years of staffing industry experience to CSI. In 1998 he founded Merit Consulting, an executive placement company still in existence today. Flakus joined CSI in 2003 when it was a $12M staffing company.
Under Flakus’ leadership, CSI enjoyed double-digit growth year-over-year including opening new offices in Nashville, Charlotte, Dallas and Ft. Lauderdale. Flakus has successfully started up two new divisions, most recently CSI Financial. In 2010, together with Rafe Sanson, he helped facilitate the acquisition of CSI by Japanese recruiting firm RGF Staffing (formerly Recruit Staffing), a part of Recruit Holdings Co., Ltd.
In 2013 Flakus was named Chief Operating Officer, and oversaw the company’s sales growth from $126M to almost $250M including over 100% growth in the HCIT division. By focusing on building culture, Flakus has increased productivity, improved employee retention rates. Chris is a graduate of the University of North Florida.
James Chiang is an experienced leader who has driven financial growth and helped companies evolve with market demands across various industries. As CFO, he manages all financial operations across CSI and its four specialty divisions: CSI Financial, CSI Healthcare IT, CSI Professional, and CSI Tech.
James has more than 15 years of corporate accounting and finance experience in organizations including Astadia, Regency Centers, KPMG, and Arthur Andersen, most recently as a Vice President – Real Estate Accounting at EDENS. James, a graduate of the University of Florida, is a licensed certified public accountant in Florida and New York. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
