CSI Companies is proud to announce the recipients of the Guy Cuddihee Memorial Scholarship, Aria Brown and Ian Rasch
CSI Companies is committed to giving back and grants an annual college scholarship to a local high school student in memory of well-known local philanthropist Guy Cuddihee. Each year, the Guy Cuddihee Memorial Scholarship identifies and awards a $5,000 scholarship to a senior from Samuel F. Wolfson High School in Duval County who goes above and beyond in the Jacksonville community. The criteria honors Guy by requiring a minimum of 100 community service hours and an essay telling their stories and how they have had the chance to give back to the community. This year, however, CSI granted scholarships to two impressive seniors: Aria Brown and Ian Rasch.
Aria Brown, an incoming freshman and member of the band at Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (FAMU) says, “This scholarship means a lot to me. It will definitely help me not worry about paying for certain things so I can focus on my studies, band practice, meeting new people, and having new experiences.” Brown plans to major in political science and hopes to one day be a criminal justice attorney.
Ian Rasch, an incoming freshman attending Florida State University (FSU), says, “This scholarship will help me get through my first year of college without student loans, which is a huge stress-relief. It really means so much to me.” Rasch is majoring in finance and is excited to expand his knowledge while also cheering on the Noles at football games.
Both Brown and Rasch were dedicated servants in the Jacksonville community, working with many organizations and taking on leadership roles. Their stories were inspirational, and the CSI team is excited to watch them succeed in each of their future endeavors.
