My first week as a marketing intern with the CSI Connect internship program was nothing short of insightful. I was immediately greeted with smiling faces and a welcoming atmosphere. The onboarding process was engaging and gave me a better understanding of CSI’s mission, vision, and core values. I instantly felt immersed in CSI’s company culture from day one.
Right away, I hit the ground running with my duties as a marketing team intern. Throughout the week, I had the opportunity to attend several team meetings, help out with the Not Your Average Co. Podcast, create content, brainstorm and share ideas, and receive feedback. CSI fosters a positive and collaborative work environment, which made me feel respected and heard. In just my first week, I’ve built many relationships, experienced professional development opportunities, and been exposed to a very positive workplace culture.
I also had the opportunity to engage with my fellow interns through structured and interactive weekly sessions designed to foster professional and physical growth. These sessions included ‘Leadership Talk Tuesdays,’ where we heard stories from CSI executives and other special guests about their road to success; ‘Wisdom Wednesdays,’ focusing on learning and practicing soft skills; ‘Think Fit Thursdays,’ which focuses on participating in exercise sessions and strengthening the mind and body; and ‘Financial Leadership Fridays,’ educating us on the importance of credit and how to budget. These sessions not only enhanced vital skillsets needed in both the professional and personal world but also promoted collaboration and networking among all the CSI interns.
By the end of the week, I had gained an understanding of the marketing department and the necessary role it plays in the overall strategy and function of CSI. Thanks to the support and mentorship of my colleagues, I feel confident in my abilities to contribute to the team, and I am eager to continue to grow this summer.
My first week at CSI Companies was informative, fascinating, and fun! As I continued to explore the role more deeply, I developed a strong appreciation for CSI’s overall mission. Each day is a new opportunity filled with learning and growth. I’m excited to expand my knowledge and skill sets throughout this experience as a CSI Connect intern.
