Last week, team members from CSI joined forces with others in the Jacksonville community at the 2023 First Coast Go Red for Women Luncheon to celebrate the year’s initiatives in fighting heart disease. Throughout the afternoon, participants engaged in thought-provoking break-out sessions, browsed informational exhibits, and heard heartwarming testimonials from survivors – reminding everyone why knowledge remains vital in safeguarding themselves and their loved ones.
Representing CSI Companies, Lindsey Mitcham was selected as a Women of Impact for her commitment to philanthropy and love for healthy living. Over the course of her nine-week fundraising drive, her team’s campaign generated over $20,000, placing her among the top three First Coast Women of Impact for 2023.
“The campaign was an incredibly rewarding experience. Thanks to the unwavering support of my team, friends, and the community, we successfully raised awareness about cardiovascular disease, particularly among women,” Lindsey said.
Between the Women of Impact and Teen of Impact honorees, over $250,000 was raised, which will continue to benefit the First Coast community by providing education, training, and resources surrounding cardiovascular health.
This year’s luncheon theme was, “Be the Beat,” inspiring the attendees to infuse moments of vibrant movement into their daily routines. Whether through a simple lunchtime stroll or rockin’ out on the dance floor, incorporating exercise into your everyday can reduce the risk of heart disease.
CSI Companies is honored to have joined the American Heart Association for 2023 and is dedicated to continuing to foster healthy communities.
